Developing a new play with Gina Femia is always a good time — even better when it’s a one-person play starring Gina Femia!
Thanks to the Shakesolo Festival at the Kraine Theatre, and New Georges for a timely micro-grant boost, Gina and I had a lot of fun during a much-needed development process, rehearsing for this play’s workshop festival debut.
She gave two delightful performances — it felt so strange and so wonderful to be back in the Kraine with friendly, engaged audiences — and we’re excited to get back to work on this piece about being a writer, a theater artist, and a young person navigating relationships and education and creativity… all under the shadow of the most famous playwright who ever lived.
